The hardest part of my job, is making sure that the clients who are asking us to do the work, understand what they want us to do.

In the industry a lot of clients are uninformed and instead of understanding the process, they may ask for things that we cannot do as they want. Sometimes we need to discuss with them to make sure we price for what they actually want, and help them understand why. Not all clients are like this, but some are.

The hardest part of my job is trying to meet all the deadlines – sometimes there aren’t many people working on a project and you have to be really efficient to get everything done. One small mistake can cause lots of time delays later on, so we have to review our work lots and make sure that we catch any issues early on! The last project I worked on only had 3 people designing, building and testing prototype battery packs :0

Watching my students struggling to pass exams, especially when I know they are super capable but for some reason (usually nerves) they are falling apart in the exam itself.

I cannot take the exam for them sadly so I spend a lot of time reassuring them, helping them revise and then we go for the exam again.
